EXPRESS CLEARING AGENCY is a Partnership concern, engaged in the field of Shipping, Steamer, Stevedoring, Clearing & Forwarding, Break Bulk Freight forwarding and Customs House Agency at the Southern Ports, headquartered at Chennai, formerly known as Madras. The agency and its operations commenced first at Pondicherry in 1962 and the network was subsequently expanded to other ports like Cuddalore, Chennai and Tuticorin. Our two year old Tuticorin Branch is also functioning very successfully and has handled about four lakh Mts of fertilizers With 4 decades of experience in shipping, we have handled various types of cargoes at the ports efficiently. We have many good performance awards to our credit, duly awarded by the Port authorities. We have established good rapport with Customs, Port and Other Steamer Agencies and are very well equipped to carry out the operations meticulously to the satisfaction of one and all. We are handling a volume of more than 5 Lakhs Mts of bulk fertilizers every year. Though fertilizers handling is our main business, we have also handled food grains, sugar, Paper rolls, steel(Ingots, pig iron, billets, C.R.coils and H.R.Coils etc),steam coal, thermal coal, cooking coal, clinker in bulk and cement, sugar, rice, pulses in bags. We have also got good experience in handling containers and in fact we are handling more than 1500 containers every year.
