Gujarat Pipavav Port Limited, also known as APM Terminals Pipavav, is located on the west coast of India, and is a preferred port for trade especially in northwest India. The port is well equipped to handle containers, bulk, liquid and RoRo cargoes. It is strategically located at the main maritime route, providing access to all main shipping lines, as well as is well connected to Indian hinterland via road and rail. The port also has direct electrified access to the Western Dedicated Freight Corridor. APM Terminals Pipavav is a part of global APM Terminals which has a network of 65 operating ports and terminal facilities, employing 22,000 professionals across 37 countries around the world. APM Terminals Pipavav is the: • First Public Private Partnership model in the port sector in India • First Public Private Partnership model in the rail sector in India through Pipavav Railway Corporation Limited (PRCL) • First port to commence double stack container train services in India Positioned opposite two islands, which act as a natural breakwater, the port is safe in all weather conditions, even during monsoon. Due to favourable oceanographic conditions, the port offers day and night navigation to all vessels except LPG vessels (daytime only). The port has state-of-the-art warehousing facilities, both inside and outside for domestic storage and distribution.
